Committee Chairs -- Ashley Drummy, Sara Bilow, & Valerie Krog
Bridgeport's PTA is so excited to pilot the Science Fair for this year! This is a great opportunity for students of all grades (TK - 6th) to show off their ideas, experiments, and research in the field of science to our panel of friendly and encouraging science judges. Parents and families are more than welcome to become involved in the student's project, especially for our younger students. All submissions should be individual submissions -- not combined projects with another student or sibling.
Important dates to consider:
- Please fill out this entry form as soon as you can. If you have multiple children submitting projects, please fill out 1 form per child.
- March 31, 2025 -- If you need assistance, a limited number of 28x40 trifold poster boards will be available on a first come first served basis in the office starting Monday, March 31st.
- April 14 & 15, 2025 -- All projects are to be turned into school on April 14 or 15 NO LATER THAN 8:30am. Projects can be turned into the front office with a member of our science fair committee.
- April 16 & 17, 2025 -- Our panel of science judges will be at Bridgeport on April 16 and/or 17.
- April 17, 2025 -- Join us for our Science Fair Expo on Thursday, April 17 from 5-6:30pm in the MPR. Projects will be on display for you to look at and awards per grade level will be given. Light refreshments will be served.
- All projects must be picked up from the MPR after school on Friday, April 18.
In creating your project, please keep in mind the following:
- Due to limited space, project boards may not be more than 28"x40" (small size). If you are in need of a poster board, we have a limited quantity that we can give to you on a first come first serve basis. Boards will be available starting March 31st.
- Your project should reflect your grade level and use your own words.
- Buying items from a store is sometimes necessary, but we discourage a complete ready to assemble science fair project kit. Be creative and do it yourself.
- NO DANGEROUS CHEMICALS OR OBJECTS AND NO OPEN FLAME.
- NO ANIMALS OR POISONOUS PLANTS ARE ALLOWED.
- Your final display project must be able to stand on a tabletop without support.
- Limited electrical support is available. Please let us know if you will require that for your project. This is on a first come first served basis. We will let you know if we have the available space for something that requires being plugged in.
If you have any questions, please reach out to our science fair chair, Ashley Drummy at ashleydrummy@gmail.com.
